It started in a large family fun center arcade thing. I was in a room with trampoline floors and red-yellow-blue colored walls. There was a door to a red and blue room with dim lights where a concert was being held. All my friends were there, but I didn't want to join them. There was also this room that was accessable by a soft ramp which was just a little closed hallway which opened up and led to a threshold to a bookstore. I checked my phone and my older sister (who I rarely see) told me she was in the same building. I started running around fast and ran up the ramp where I saw my sister. Time seemed to slow down as I patted her shoulder opposite the one I was closest to and she fell for it, looking behind that shoulder as I passed by. I stopped running before I entered the bookstore and then we talked for a second before the dream switched.
It was a gloomy, foggy, and slightly cold day (although the humidity made it not feel chilly) and it was afternoon on a Sunday. Me, some family, and some friends were gathered around in my family's sign shop in the town square (this is all a real place). The lights were off but there was still enough natural light to see, although it was definitely not a lot. We were all just kind of hanging out for a while. I became bored and I suggested we should go outside, and some people followed me. In the center of the square is a large lawn with a courthouse, and we sat at a picnic table. Across from us there seemed to be a concert or rally or something going on, but it didn't interest me (noticably mirroring the previous part of the dream). At the table we all gathered around and met an 80-year old Hitler dressed in a red robe like in Wolfenstein with some men dressed in beige military outfits.
Turns out, the side of the town square we were on represented the United States and the allied powers, the opposing side represented Nazi Germany, and the side south of us represented Italy. We spoke with Hitler about the impending war. It all felt surreal (go figure). We all (me and my company) knew that war was inevitable and that we would probably all die, but we also wanted to do all that we could to save ourselves. We tried to convince Hitler to target Italy in the hopes that it would buy us more time. We kind of finished up the discussion, and then sat in silence as the threat of nuclear war set in. After about 30 seconds, we returned to the closed sign shop. After waiting around some more, I became bored again, so I went with my dad to the local guitar shop (in a neutral area). Contrary to the rest of the scene, the guitar shop was filled with warm lights and beautiful deep-colored guitars with high price tags. It helped to see them.
After looking at everytihng, I decided it was time enough to leave. My dad was waiting for me outside of the building. As I exited, every single shop on the square lit up new signs that weren't there. They were bright neon, and flashed red, green, and blue. They has messages like "IT's COMING" or "TAKE COVER" or "RUN!!!!" or "HIDE" or flashed arrows pointing downwards. In the panic, I shouted out to my dad "RUN!" and I started booking it towards the sign shop. I was completely focused on survival. I never looked back. I never looked towards the sky to see if something was coming. As I approached the shop, I shouted out "I love you all! I love you so much! I love you!" so that my last words would be something good. I reached the shop, entered the door, rushed to the back room, descended into the basement, and squeezed in with my friends and took cover. After closing my eyes, everything faded to white.
