Me and some other nondescript people that I knew were in an oddly-shaped pool and there was some 50-year-old lady giving us instruction. I think we were trying to prepare for some boat thing and we had to make sure we were safe. We tested out our swimming abilities and then one person brought up the fact that we could all tread water and the lady was like "oh yeah you're right! you should all be fine then," but I didn't know if I would be fine because the pool was too shallow for me to try and tread water, I was just kind of waving my hands.

EDIT (NOV 22 2025): I can't believe I forgot this detail! But I have always remembered it. The dream was set in one of those liminal space pool places where it was all bathroom tile everywhere and weird architecture and very dim light.
