I had 2 separate dreams over 2 different sleeping sessions, but they are thematically similar so I will group them together.
First One
I went driving. I don't remember if I had any greater goal than to get away from home, but I still felt like I had a duty to return. I don't think it was snowy, but there was lots of snow on the ground and the road was a little icy. I was driving my exact car from real life, my white 2006 Buick Lacrosse with many stickers along the back. I started driving my typical route I take when I need to go out, going on county roads and such. I ended up wanting to go to this one very small town (pop. ~300) within my county, which was not on my typical route, but I went anyways. I had something there I wanted to see. I ended up at this old church made of stone. I don't remember what I wanted to see there, but it was a really cool place. The town in question was founded by German immigrants in the 1800's and they retain that history pretty well. I parked in the parking lot outside the church next to this lady with her family in a minivan. There was also this larger bus-like thing that seemed really heavy duty and was colored in a dark grey. I got out of my car and was walking around. Somehow I ended up with a shopping cart and I accidentally rammed it into the front of the large van while trying to put it away. The van had an extra grate infront of the grill and somehow that shopping cart made a really powerful dent. I remember hoping and thinking so clearly that surely a shopping cart couldn't do that much damage. I knew I had to make it up to the person from the van, who was not in their vehicle at this moment, but I really didn't want to have to pay any money because I had to also make a large transaction on a soon-approaching date. I also really didn't want to just drive off without saying anything, partially because it would be immoral, partially because I knew someone had seen me do it.
I went to the lady from the minivan for advice. I tried explaining to her how I've never been in this situation and I didn't know what to do, but she just told me to ask the owner of the van. I went over to the person from the van as she was getting back in. I tried to get her attention, but I have a hard time raising my voice in dreams. I talked to her in a hole I think I ended up making in the window, but she wouldn't respond with much. I had to trial-and-error find out what she would accept. I was really confused that she didn't really want justice against me. I don't remember what she ended up wanting. She offered to drive me home. I was a little hesitant, but I took up her offer. She drove me home and it got dark. I was really scared of her but I also really appreciated her.
I got home and everything was very different. My house was much more large and fancy and expansive. There was a bigger, more empty yard with no trees (at least in the front), and large rooms with big, arched thresholds. My parents were meeting with some people there. I kept trying to ask my dad to help me because I had left my car there, but he kept not listening.
Second One
I was watching random Youtube Videos and I came across one that was discussing like weird car crashes or something. The video had a clip of this roundabout that was for both pedestrians and cars. I was watching this short clip and I saw my dad's unmistakable work truck go in the roundabout the wrong way. Everyone stopped and he and another car had to do a weird maneuver so that he could be on the road the right way. Slightly before that, I had also seen in the video one of my good friends from college. I was really surprised because I had had a hard time remembering exactly what she looked like, but that video had a perfect image of her. I also thought it was really cool that they had happened to be in the same place at the same time, so I went to show my dad and then I was going to send it to my friend. I tried showing it to my dad, asking him if he remembered being around Topeka or Kansas City and doing this (because maybe it was someone else who just happened to have the truck), and he wouldn't really give me a straight answer. I assumed that this was because he was embarrassed that he had done this, but I was like, "It's okay, it's passed" and stuff like that, and he still didn't say anything. Him not giving me an answer also stopped me from sending it to my friend, at least in this moment.
